Our administrative offices are located in Seldovia, Alaska, on the south end of the Kenai Peninsula, two hundred twenty five miles south of Anchorage. Seldovia is separated from Alaska’s road system by Kachemak Bay. It is accessed by water or air.

Year-round:

Human Resource Manager Plans, directs and coordinates all human resource activities of Seldovia Village Tribe to include Seldovia Bay Ferry and SVT Health & Wellness, Homer. Works directly to support SVT President/CEO and Management team members. Functions include compensation, staffing, benefits, performance, recruitment, personnel policies and procedures and regulatory compliance such as labor laws and OSHA. Full time 35 hrs per week with generous benefits. Salary DOE. This position is based in Seldovia. Must be able to travel frequently to Homer by boat or small aircraft. Part Time / On Call Assistant click here for a job description
Assists Ch’anik’na Attendant with supervision and care of children in the SVT educational and activities program as needed. Hours may vary. Open Monday thru Friday.
Pay $12. Hr.

Senior Meals Cook click here for a job description
Approx 25 hours per week. Plan and prepare meals using DEC nutritional guidelines and Food Service regulations for SVT Senior Meals program and Seldovia Conference Center events. Must secure AK Food Handler certificate. Wage $15. per hour

Homer

Dental Assistant Full time 35 -37 hours per week. Provides range of clinical, administrative and staff support functions for Dental program. Cross trains with Dental Patient Account Representative. Collections Specialist Full time 40 hours per week. Generous benefit package. Base wage $20. per hour.
Process and transmit claim and secondary billing to reduce accounts receivable balance. Work with multiple insurance payors. adjust and post to patients accounts. Process insurance denials for appeals. Assist eligible patients with payment plans. Investigate credit information and collect past due accounts. Answer correspondence, submit reports, process write-offs and refunds. Prefer Associates degree and 2 yrs minimum experience in a medical office with attention to detail and multitasking. Native American Job Bank - TERO

TERO POLICY - Alaska Native / American Indian

Alaska Natives and American Indians have a sovereign right to employment opportunities on and near their own land. These rights are protected through the local tribal governing body (Seldovia Village Tribe).

Open to Seldovia Village Tribe Members and to all Native Americans, SVT's Tribal Enrollment Rights Office (TERO) protects Native rights on federally-funded contracts, subcontracts, and other training opportunities in the village or region.

Using federal government regulations and laws, TERO negotiates job slots in each craft category on construction contracts within the boundaries of the village corporation. Qualified Alaska Natives must fill these slots before any non-natives can be hired. This allows Seldovia’s workforce to achieve maximum employment by ensuring that employment rights of the villages are protected in the strongest manner possible. On-site checks ensure that employers are in compliance with their Indian preference requirements.

TERO also helps investigate and mediate discrimination problems that occur in or near Seldovia.
